Alright, here goes. The HP 500 came in two versions- 1. the early/mid 1990's 540 Bulldog (CARB) and the later 502 (CARB AND EFI).

A set of divertors showed up on Ebay for CMI's.

They came off these CMI's-

Just wondering if you think they would fit a set of CMI"s from my 1993 540 Bulldog HP 500? I think these are off a 502 one.

BTW, not a bad deal for a set of CMI's. Leave my diverters alone.

The bad news in my opinion is they haven't been flushed after each use. Mine are about 8 years old and always been in salt water and are perfect. Plus I use salt away every time. I will say that is a big money set up though!

Another thing.....I like it loud and they aren't all that loud when they are wet.

They should fit the pipes just fine.

If you have room is another issue. They don't look like the shortest version of Q&Q for sure.

OK I thiufg yours had pipes. Most came with the Etops. The real difference is you have a tall deck motor, but the heads are the same. The silent choice will fit either. The exhaust spacing is the same only the mounting brackes are different, unless they were custom made like mine with no brackets.

Grizz... is the length the same, comparing these to the standard tails CMI comes with?

could be an optical illusion, but they look longer for some reason.

Eddie, just try not to make the laughter a little less it took 20 minutes to read the GPS again with out grinning.
Vette it is that one side is longer then the other the exhaust tails are determined by the engine, position and drive. The bravo installations are suppose all to be the same but they are not. On silent choice they are the closes. With dry or straight pips they vary, I have been caught by this. Creative hoseing fixes a lot of the problem. As for the boat choice, It doesn't matter which you bring. It looks like the Criterion is not going to make it. there are too many issues with other jobs, and Garry is refusing to let me throw the engine back together. I wanted to experiment on the regular fuel 87/89 octane and come hell or high water he is going to hold me to that. I know when I am beat, so I am going to finish what I started. So it looks like Corsican city.
