Like new condition. Purchased 10-07. Run one season in fresh water. I am only selling it because I need more pitch with my repower. This is the factory labbed Mercury Racing version which I paid $900 + shipping for. Complete with 1" (standard size) hub, thrust washer and outer piece (whatever that is called!). It is complete and ready to bolt onto a Bravo 1. Will ship in original box.

$650 + shipping OBO

Send PM or call 248-330-0048

What did you run it on?

What did you run it on?

2005 22 Classic 496 HO, Bravo 1X, Imco shorty. Top speed 74-75. Not enough pitch for the new 525 which went in last spring. Now I run a 30p Bravo 1 from BBlades. Bravo 1s are over rated in pitch. This prop is equal to most 26p props.

Still got the shorty? :)

How did the prop run on the stock drive (before you put the shorty on it)?

It worked very good on the stock drive. So good that I still run a Bravo one only now it is on the shorty and is a BBlades labbed version which is about the same as the Merc Racing version but $50 cheaper.

If you read the invoice that I posted at the top you'll see that I had to return a 26p Bravo 1 in exchange for this 28p. Original prop was a 26p Mirage +. The 26 Bravo 1 put me over the rev limiter. The 28 was perfect for the stock 496 HO/Bravo 1. Don't be fooled by the pitch rating on the Bravo props like I was. Again, the 28 is equal to most 26s.

So, last question. Can I try it before I buy it? :). If I damage it I will buy it obviously, but just want to try it first.

Let me know.
Tom

Where in Michigan are you? Might be cheaper to tow your boat here to Clarkston then to ship the prop back and forth. We will have fun anyway on the local lake across the street from my home. You can call me on the cell if you want. 248-330-0048

I'm in grand rapids. I am hoping to go for a spin with Parnell this week, maybe Tuesday or wed. I need to get somebody with some classic experience behind the wheel to see if this thing has problems or not.

Are you busy during the days? Interested in coming out this way for a day this week to run? Your a 22c guy, and I would love to have you drive my boat.

Sounds like fun. I am off all week. Let's see what the weather looks like. What set-up are you running? You could try the 30p too. Got any props I can try?:hyper::hyper:

OK, I'd like to try that 27 but just remembered I have a 1 1/4 inch prop shaft. The one for sale has a standard 1" hub.

Thanks again Carl. It was fun running with you guys. How late did you stay on on the water after we left? Did you go back down to Muskegon lake?

Thanks, i enjoyed it a lot too. By the time we got back through that long no wake zone it was dam cold out there so we shot straight off shore about ten miles, took a break, did a toast to Lake Michigan and came back in. My knees and legs were numb by then! I had trouble walking! i wanted to go further out and see how deep it got. Anyway it was nice meeting you and Parnell and we'll do it again. BTW, watching your boat I think it is completely normal. (referring to the handling problems you've discussed)

Hey Carl,

Sent you a PM. What hub kit do i need to run that Bravo 1 Prop i bought from you on the shorty with the 1.25" shaft?

Probably the same hub you run, were can i get it?

Thanks,
Tom

I didn't get the PM. The hub looks similar to the 1" hub but you will not use a thrust washer. You will also use a flat washer and a bellville washer under the nut. There will not be a tab type lock washer. I suppose any Bravo prop dealer could sell you what you need. Teague Custom Marine should have the parts or there may be a prop dealer here.

Last time checked there was was a bunch on ebay for about $120.00 new. They list at quite a bit more than that! I figured it out after I paid way to much! It's the hub kit for an XR leg. Good luck!
