Have been some rescent thefts at some marinas in the area (breaking into big boats & stealing t.v.'s & misc) & it had me wondering if I should add a "prop lock" to my sterndrive? '97 Alpha w/ labbed mirage plus..... The boat is sitting on a lift with stern toward an open cove. It would be easy pickings for anyone with a boat & a wrench. Any cons to using them? Saw one in overtons for $50'ish...seems like cheap insurance. Thanks guys....looking forward to AOTH!!!!!

If they want it they will take it...BUT if you have a lock on ur's and the guy near by does not? hmmm:nilly: also a drive lock is cheap insurance:wink:

I've run the prop lock on my 22C for 8 yrs with no operational issues...just make sure its snug:wink:...and remember to keep the key-lock near by if u need to swap props etc...
