Ocklawaha River/Silver Sprinjgs

Hey guys I was thinking about taking the boat up and making the run on the river to Silver Springs. Does anyone know if all the blow downs and stumps have been cleared since the storms a couple of years ago? I just got a brand new drive put on the boat and dont want to run the risk of having to replace her on the first time out.

GCarter says they are. The last time we ran from Lake Eustis, through the locks, and up the river they weren't. I told Catch he should have put his log splitting prop on. :)

I read in the paper a year ago that it was in process, but Tidbart and I went up a few weeks ago and it's still virtually impassable.
The Silvewr Springs boating Club has an ongoing program to clear the Silver River, so I'm assuming it's clear. You can launch at the park at the Highway 40 bridge and work your way up the Silver River to the springs.
It's still a fun trip.
