ok,
So I've got the 16 sitting in the driveway, and am starting to plan, as I'm getting ready to start hacking this thing apart. I've decided to go with a Bravo drive. Lots of reasons,... it's pretty much the industry standard, can definitely handle the HP I'm looking at putting in the 16, and many options (ie different hydraulic steering units, the Shorty lowers, etc.). Anyway, what I'm looking for is the measurement from the transom to the most forward part of the drive itself. Remember, I'm moving my engine forward, and separating from the drive, so just the actually inner transom shield / room for drive shaft / etc.
Any help is appreciated.
Also, I'm looking for one of those cardboard chevy engine mock-ups, if anyone has one I can borrow when the time comes, or knows where I can get one.
