i just purchased some valvolene 60w oil and was told was to thick to use should i return for 40w

Dont tell me you put a nitro burning motor in your boat too!!!:)

Lee its to thick,it wont drain back fast and may starve your engine plus it will rob too much hp..go with 15w50 mobile 1 or merc's 24w40..

If the water is cool where you are from, then a 10w-40 would be good, if the water/weather is warmer use a 15w-50. I like Mobil 1 full synthetic 15w-50. I run Amsoil in my race bike with excellent results.
