I have seen "splash" boats and "fake" boats.............that's why I would like an "eye-ball" look,,,,,,,,,,, if this is a 16 I am interested and would like more info...........I have contacted the owner and not heard back at this point........

the hin will tell you exactly what it is, the 1990 16 was a splash so to speak

Fogducker, did you call or email? I tried the number and voicemail was full, didn't email. I tend to be suspicious of originality also but the HIN should confirm either way.

Matty, you know what I mean. The boat was not produced by Donzi. Quit trying to be controversial. Look close....several things jump out at me.

The only way to know is a HIN. Let us know if the guy produces it. If it is a Donzi and not a "splash", then go for it Jeremy. For 500.00 why not? Hell, even if it is a "splash", it might be a good one and still worth it.

Just because the boat wasn't produced by Donzi doesn't mean it is a bad boat. Some damn good splashes were produced over the years.........Chris Craft, Cobalt, etc.....

No, it was made by Donzi. Just used a mold from a splash.

Donzi did not produce the 16 in the 80's. It was re-introduced in 1990. Original molds, well, Matty can explain better than me.....

Vette, I was talking about the boats produced by Donzi in 1990, not the one in the ad. Like I said, the one in the ad looks like a splash, and not a very good one at that.

Looks like a straight 90 to me it is almost a match the one I had, some even added the two extra Perko twisty hatch locks, it was an OMC boat. Several of us have had OMC boats and found them to some of the best made.

i live very close to it. i called and emailed within hrs of the ad was placed. no response till last nite and he said it is sold. somebody was fast!
