Years ago, a guy asked me if I knew how to fiberglass. I said, "Of course, how hard can it be?"'
He paid me $100 to patch a boat that turned out to have a broken stringer. The resin didn't set without a heat lamp, it sanded out like crap and I just spray bombed over the patch. :frown: I'm sure the next owner (this guy flipped it) wasn't impressed. He didn't know the difference, but I learned a big lesson.
Moral: Fiberglassing isn't as simple as it sounds.
