I know that there was another thread on the tabs dragging being common on the classic models, would that be common even on a 1987 22C?
How much should the tabs be angled up?
If I remember correctly, some of you were talking about cutting something to shorten the length.?.

easy fix to modify the actuator - http://www.donzi.net/forums/showthread.php?t=28750&highlight=modify+tabs
The hinge end should be up a little over 1/2" from the bottom of the boat and the trailing edge should be up about 1-1/2" so the run clear of the water a WOT. Look at the mod Red Dog speaks of.

Just a FYI. You also want to check your tabs to make sure they are not “hooked”. Put a straight edge on the hinge to the actuator mount. If there is a bow they got to go.
