Thanks, still have a bunch of odds and ends, like new sensors that I still need to order, but it's basically together.

Hopefully I'll splash it today for a short run to see how things are...

You will love it! I've had a 22 that I loved, but I still say the Minx is most fun boat I've owned,:worthy:

Test ran the boat...

Started out, shifter is tough. No matter how much I have adjusted it on the trailer it still sucks in the water... no big deal, dealt with it, got out.

checked and re-checked things a few times. little bit of water in the bilge but I wrote that off to me washing the boat last night and things settling.

out of the no-wake zone... took it up to 3500, cruised for about 2 minutes then backed it down to check... all is well.

fast again... opened it up all the way. hit 5k RPM easily... HOLY CRAP it has power now. the changes are like night and day. backed it back down to 3500 and cruised for another couple of minutes.

Turned around to go back, "just in case"

Ran it back up to full throttle. 5k again... kaboom. engine fine, no gears.

called up sea tow but another friendly boater towed me back in.

Look in the bilge again, water is dumping in. NICE. glad I triple checked the bilge pump. (turned out to be a crack in the shifter bellows)

New drive is already in the garage with a new transom seal kit so it's not too bad. The drive is practically the only original thing on the boat anyway

Very happy with the engine. It is STOUT to spin my old crappy 23" wheel like it did. I picked up 4-500 RPM. with a new wheel, that doesn't have dings in it, things should get real fun.

Bro,
the trailor looks great with the boat..... I'm thinking mid 20k since everything is brand new and upgraded!!!!!! Awsome job overall.... there aren't many that look that good.... You have a boat that most people could dream of one day.

Where are "you people" seeing this boat? Never mind, I found it. It looks great. It wouldn't be bad with a "Shelby type" wind screen either.
