George C ?

I have to lift one tomorrow and am wondering what the people quotient might be?

Lenny,
I think they used 5 guys to flip mine over. The crit was more dificult. If you are just lifting it off I would say 4-5.

a shop around the corner does it differently... they raise the boat off the trailer about a foot using 2 slings, then support the deck correctly with the overhead a frames using chain hoists, then they lower the hull that is sitting on the slings back on the trailer and pull it out of the way, then they lower the deck using the chain hoists.... went pretty damn smooth, and only 2 people were needed.. I was impressed

 except, there are NO A-frames available at this location, nor chain hoist(s). Just a 22 on the floor (cushioned) and a loose deck that needs to come up.

Poodle, I need some measurements soon :D

It may be, but I would have guessed less, around 500.
With it sitting on a small scaffold under the fore deck just in front of the dash, and the battery box on a furniture dolly, I can lift either end with my shoulders. The CG is right at the dash on the earlier deck.
BTW, I lifted mine by myself.
This must be Yellers deck.

Good luck

I flipped it over by myself too.

There's a photo record of that here.

A tad late to be wondering about the people quotient isn't it?:biggrin.:

I was hoping to have at least 6 guys, but pretty much everyone I know is either out of town or is working, so we'll have to make due with 5.

I'd have to assume Mr X knows the correct weight, so we might be a bit light on manpower, but I think we can get a helping hand with my engine hoist.

If all else fails, we'll just have to go knock on a few doors and enlist the neighbours.

Maybe Lenny can drag up a few folks.

Lets see, it is 5:45 am here and I have a Ferry to catch to get to Vancouver. I think it is a "tad" early to be banging on doors :D I have a few friends in Vancouver I can enlist if need be.

How about a few pictures?????

Maybe Yeller's wife can take a few.

BTW, furniture dollies that you can get at Home Depot (about $25.00 each here) are very useful once you get it off. Saves carrying it around. Even if you're on rough ground you can lay down some pieces of plywood to roll it on.

Actually, I checked....I made a mistake. They vary from 650 to 700.
Sorry.
