I've gotten a couple of PM's over the past couple of weeks to take some pics of the fix my boat is undergoing. There happened to be a 009 edition open with no motor or drive in the warehouse so I shot a couple of pics of the enigine bay for you guys. Hope this helps with the questions of how they are going about with the newer 22's.

We got there late on saturday.....I think around 4 p.m...stayed around 2-3 hours. The great part about it was they let us in for free.:worthy:......Most of the big guys were already done for the day. We did get lucky and saw John & Ashley Force run. I think John ran a 4.15....The main event was Sunday.

Correct!, The rule of the day was there was no set plans of what to do! Well, except get the boat delivered! That was done by lunch.

YEA, YEA I heard that before. I have talked to your wife and she loves racing, you did it just so you would not have to bring her along. You are making up the whole thing, you guys had it planned from the beginning. I have been to Gainsville and you can't see it from I 75.:biggrin.::biggrin.::biggrin.:

She and Greg(RunninRed) left me to un-hook while they took off running to she what they could find.....Here she is by her favorite....

Interesting......I DON"T see the "fix" in the pictures you posted, so, I would assume they've changed the layup schedule in the mean time.

Where the stringer connects to the hull you can kinda tell that it is more of a rounded transition compared to the way mine looks....Just my observation...There may be something else....I was upside down in mine for a while. Could have been the blood rushing to my head.:rlol:

The "fix" included an additional longitudinal "step" in the bottom between the stringers and the keel tangent to stiffen the flat panels in that area. Since they're not there, I'd assume they've beefed up the entire bottom inbetween the stringers.

Yes, very interesting indeed.... I love that yellow 43 ZR, hope it gets some serious power. JustMercMe, I'd suggest getting your boat forward on the trailer a little or else make longer bunks. Mine was like that until I modified the winch post and moved everything forward to support the transom properly. Cool pics, thanks for posting them.

I should have known you could not get down the road to Donzi without her. I still remember her face at Eufaula when I asked how she liked the Donzi, when you had it the first time. a keeper:yes::yes: Quite frankly I think she may have liked it more then you did.:biggrin.:

And you won't, that's exactly the way the new boats looked when mine was there 2-years ago. They said they fixed it so yes, they must have changed the lay-up.

Good to hear thet they're still taking care of customer boats.

Thanks Carl,
I've been looking at maybe doing that when I got it back..Never really liked the way it looked like the transom was hanging off...Easy fix I suppose being I'm 5 houses up from the ramp. By the way I got a shot of the yellow ZR transom.....Judging by the drives....It has potential for power. Also included another couple of shots I took.

Shes been smiling about as much as I have since late January.:biggrin.: She counted up bikinis a week or so ago and decided she did'nt have enough so I think the count is up 5 from what it was.....Of course we had to get all new matching stuff. WE ARE PREPARED! Just need a couple of more gatherings around our neck of the woods. We went to the Emerald Coast Poker Run last year and had a blast. I think Destin is gonna be a frequently visited place for us. Which I'm not complaining @ all, It keeps the hours down on the tunnel boat.
