Well, my 22C has become a victim of the economy and it needs to find a new home. I'm offering it here before I put it on ebay, boat trader and craigslist. I will be taking new pictures but these are what I have already.

Here's a list of specs:

Repowered in 1996 with a 7.4L/B1
Restored in 2000 using Awlgrip to LE specifications
370 hours on hull
145 hours on engine / drive
Drive serviced in March 2008
New Drive bellows
New gimbal bearing
New gimbal bushings
New Trim/Limit switches
New shift cable
Engine serviced December 2008
New raw water pump impeller
New dash with Livorsi gauges (completely rewired using top quality components)
Livorsi digital depth sounder
Sony 4 channel AM/FM/CD/WX marine radio
New batteries (2 batteries)
New automatic engine compartment extinguisher
New 2 bank battery charger
Various electrical odds and ends

2008 Ameritrail Custom Aluminum trailer ($6400 MSRP)

Dual Axle
2 axle electric over hydraulic disk brakes
Welded bunks (4 bunk)
4" drop torsion axles
All LED lighting
Aluminum "5 star" wheels with Marathon radials
Welded steps

I have close to $10,000 in receipts since January 2008 not including the purchase of the boat. I have a 14 month old survey placing the value of the boat alone at $22,550 BEFORE all the work above (aside from the repower and paint).

I'm offering the boat and trailer for $22,000. This IS NOT a project boat, it is 100% turn key. I will entertain realistic offers.

Either send me a PM or email, mwhatman@cfl.rr.com

I forgot to mention I also replaced the manifolds and risers with an all aluminum GLM (saved a lot of weight) and installed Gibson Power Tips so you can carry on a normal conversation at idle but it still has that V8 rumble.

She runs 63.5 on GPS WOT and cruises all day @ 48 mph turning 3500 RPM. The boat is dialed in.....

Also forgot to mention it comes with a 1 year old custom fitted full cover and a recently installed bimini top (can be easily removed for those who find that whole idea of a bimini on a Classic repulsive...)

Although my posts are few, I have looked at this website every couple of days for the last couple of years. I don't own a Donzi, so I don't have much to contribute. Having said that, I know that you were tickled to get this boat, and I am sorry to hear that you have to let it go. I remember looking at it myself when I was in the market. My Donzi dreams are now on hold because I was "Detroit Downsized" last Halloween.

Good luck and I hope that you find a way to hang on to it. Beautiful boat.

I know, it makes me sad too but you gotta do what you gotta do as the saying goes.

This wasn't my first boat and it won't be my last Donzi (you can't get rid of me that easy) ;)

Dave,

Sorry to hear about your downsizing. My decision to sell is in advance of some things that "might" happen. I need this cash to put some things in motion so I can leave under my terms, not my employers.

This sale has nothing to so with the boat or my happiness with it. It's purely an economic decision. I hate when I act all grown up, it's no fun.......

stinks... I've done that a few times too. Harley and Corvette are gone for those reasons.

good luck with the sale, or the decision to keep it;)

The ebay ad looks fantastic. Really does justice to the Boat and all the features. Good Luck! Tom

Sorry Tom, what can I say. I may make it down for lunch, why should this year be different than last, if you know what I mean :)
