Here is a pic of my X-18 dash after the redo. Not a great pic since I shot it with my camera but gets the point across. I wanted to keep it simple. Moderate bling but sometimes less is more.

I gotta ask, what else would you shoot it with that would be better ? :D

Does the white on the wheel come down into the first hole on the wheel area or is that an illusion?

Nice

Thanks Lenny.

No illusion. That was the wheel that came with the boat when I bought it.

That looks great, so clean. I really prefer the look of the dash filled like that as opposed to a dash "panel" that covers the big hole. Of course there are exceptions, I like Conquistador's dash panel too, looks classy.

Real nice!

I like the simple functional look myself. I need a new whit wheel like that for the Corsican. My wife gave me permission.

Bill,
The look is great - all Gaffrig? GPS speedometer? Covico wheel?

Did you mean visible-panty-lines? Sorry, couldn't help myself - I must have a one track mind - lol. Bill

Yep, I couldn't resist that one. (But I like to think we have 2-track minds. One never switches off, and the other gets the bills paid or does whatever else we need...)

Yes, all Gaffrig but the speedo is pitot.

I honestly don't know what kind of wheel it is but would like to know. It came with the boat so I went with it. I have another wheel but this is really working for me now.

Thanks Bill

I think that Cracker Jack's son (Racer X) had the wheel recoated or dipped before I bought it. If you want I can find out about this process.

I posted yesterday it did not take, so I like it clean and not cluttered.

Thanks guys. That means a bunch coming from this crowd.

I like a number of different looks. I have seen some really well executed panels lately. I know that I strayed a little away from the original theme. What Jamie described was exactly what I was trying to pull off. Kind of a conservative fusion between new and old. The funny thing is that I don't think that it is radically different from what the last owner was going to do.

Nice dash. I like the simple clean look. I went simple with mine too. Before and after shots....

Great dashes guys! I really do like the instruments flush mounted without a panel too. I'd really like to do that with mine, but I am kind of stuck since I have the padded coaming in the cokkkpit. Was toying with the idea of doing away with the padding, but since it's kind of a rare thing, I need to some up with an alternative.

NICE WORK!!!
