Well , after a bit of delay I finally had the new engine in the St T get it's 20 hr servce .

When I installed the two new tanks I knew that one of them had condensation in it due to compromised storage methods before they went into the boat.

I ran a few bottles of fuel dryer through the system but was still surprised to find that when I drained the water seperator/filter it was almost half full of water.

Will we ever find a 'mechanic in a bottle' ? ?:bonk:

the biggest problem is you don't really know how much water is in the tank so the quantity is never right.

fuel dryers are just alcohol... they absorb the water and get passed through the system. the key is they only absorb so much of their overall weight. so they really are only good for small amounts.
