Trim tab size

I am looking to replace the trim tabs on my 24' What size do you guys recommend? I am trying to decide between a 14" & 18" chord. Any thoughts? Also would like to replace the cable steering with a hydraulic unit but cost will prohibit the upper end ones with the external ram. What are you guys using?

If you are worried about cost on the steering, go with a Hardin Marine single ram external add on. It goes for approx 1,200. You can upgrade the helm later for another $1,000 or so and go full hydraulic. If you go with an internal hydraulic you can't upgrade later.
