I just replaced my steering actuator and high pressure steering hose at the beginning of winter but never ran it to check everything out. Yesterday was gorgeous so I started her up and bleed the system. When I turn the wheel very quickly to the left I feel a strong shudder in the wheel that shakes the whole boat and trailer. Nothing to the right, only the left. Go slow and it's not there, just quick to the left. Still air in the system? Too much fluid?

Sounds like air to me; I've had a steering wheel shudder when it was moving air bubbles plenty of times, but I've never seen it so bad it would shake the whole boat.

It's air in the line.

I turned knock to knock. Is there a step I'm missing?

back and forth engine off first, keeping sure the reservoir is full. do that at least 5 times with the engine off, then start

Then once the engine is running turn the wheel lock to lock and hold it in the lock position for a whyle..this will bleed the air out of the system, then take the ps resivour cap off and see if theirs any foamy oil in it..keep doing it until theirs mo foamy oil anymore..may have to do it several times.
