What spark plug is used in a 1996 502/500hp? Where can I buy exact fit spark plug wires for this same package at a reasonable price?

I can not tell you about the plugs because I don't have anything that is stock, But I get my wires from Summett. I get MSD, but it doesn't matter as long as the specs are the same. I like wires under the exhaust so I get the half made up sets.

I really want to get some wires out of the box and plug in. I might just bite the bullet and buy Mercruiser exact fit! Ouch!:bonk:

Spark plug wires are spark plug wires. Some may disagree but it doesn't matter whether its 40 HP or 600 HP. Mercruiser..NAPA...You don't have to replace wires very often....unless you want to...I think my last set was NAPA 10 years ago. I usually buy Mercruiser for most other stuff :bonk: Just Sayin. John

I was thinkin Old Fashion spark plug wires.... The ignition I have in my '07 Tacoma has some kind of little "packs" or "coils" or whatever, on the top of each of the plugs (V6). The spark plug Wires look nothing like the old days.

Even in the Old days ('70s) there were plug wires that had Carbon cores (conductors) and others were Wire core. The Carbon wires that came on the Atomic 4 (gas) I had in my 1974 C&C.. Sailboat were terrible. I think Carbon core was all the rage back then. I replaced them with wire core and my troubles went away. John
