Yes to the 22.

I suggested hydromotive because he liked the Cleaver when he had less power. They make a cleaver style prop in 4 blades which I think he would like the ride of but has an extra blade for some more bite.

I have a labbed Hydromotive Quad 4 that I purchased last spring. I think that it is a 27" prop. I'll check when I get home. If you're interested, pm me.

Unless you have more than 500, a 28 is too big. I spin a 28 and a 29 on my 690 hp with a trs and 1.5 ratio at 86+ mph with Rpms less then 5,400. I only have new stuff.

Ur best bet to try until ur happy..:wink: I was spinning a Mercury Racing Labbed 28 with my 502(415hp) With a labbed prop u can go up a little more in pitch:wink: but ur gonna pay for that performance....In the end its what works for you, your budget, your driving style and your boat... so test and test some more unitl your satisfied.
