Who other than Livorsi makes a quality side mount shift/throttle control with trim switch that is compatable with merc?

I like the Livorsi but the unit with Merc cover plate, all in is over $500....

The only other option that might work, assuming you want the bling, is to add a fiberglass pod and go top mount.

But, the pod is about $100 so you have to find a deal on a top mount or you will be in for the same price.

The rest of the side mounts that I have seen are much more than the Livorsi unit.

I don't think any of them do. 33 series cables, plus you need an adapter for the engine compartment connections.

By the time you are done, it is not a cheap proposition.

I looked into this alternative for Jill's boat, because she was complaining about how hard it was to throttle her Scorpion, then I sold it, and never did it.

But, a friend shipped me a uflex unit on consignment and it WAS the Livorsi lever. It also had all of the attachment points for Mercury. Of course it didn't have all of the bling of the Livorsi unit. Bling costs money, just ask Air 22.

I didn't realize that it accepted other cables, I stand corrected... did some searching and found this on the Livorsi

- Control accepts 33C type cables as well as
Mercury, Yamaha, Evinrude and others

I wish they were all like that. PITA to change the cables out.

I put in the Dana in last year. Real happy with the action but it was expensive and took a little work to install. I have 94' vintage cables and the tie in to the new shifter was not easy.

I really like the livorsi side shifter unit. The photos REALLY DO NOT DO THEM JUSTICE!!
The Other seperate shifter unit will be harder to use since Livorsi ran out of the mounting pods and will not be getting more (according to Mike Livorsi). I personally have the pod on my 22 and like it alot.
I can sell these shifters to Registry members for 25% off retail.
Call me at the office or my cell if you have questions. As always I can kick anyone's ass on Livorsi pricing. I am not a dealer. I am a distributor.

Check out In-Control http://www.incontrolequipment.com/products.asp?ProdID=15

Pricey but absolutely top quality. Works great. Gotta love the seperate
shift and throttle.

Mine has the trim in the throttle. The stock cables worked. I made a
backing plate to cover the old quicksilver hole.

I do like the look of those, couldn't find prices...?

Which one is the model with the trim switch?

Give them a call.

Here's a picture of my early install. I have made a cleaner backing plate since. Bottom of page 1.

When it is all said and done, shipping, taxes, exchange etc. I wouldn't see change from $1100...................!!:garfield:
