Likely worth what you would have in it from this point. IMO
Others may disagree. Fun ride though.

that is a realitively early model and might have some differences in the cockpit area from a newer model, older model were SB's newer were BB so the small blocks had a larger cockpit area, also the late model 20's had a pad incorporated in the hull. the 20 cigs that I have seen have a very heavy layup and ride very well it does take power to make them run but they are a very unique boat and do hold their value well. the ones that have the big ticket prices have been created by Phil Lipshutz and they are AWSESOME

Not set up for a jet...looks like a volvo cut out. Definately not a jet.

As previous mentioned this appears to have been a small block boat. Strange looking setup with the Mercruiser water pick-up on the transom port side. Boat looks to have had numerous instruments with a tach and speedo. If the hatch cover is missing it might be expensive to locate a replacement. The older boats also had a flat engine cover that would make it difficult to drop in a BB. This boat looks to have had 2 wells in the engine compartment and they look to be cut out and do not have a gutter to drain. It also had the switch panel on the dash to the left of the helm location. Generally if this was a Mercruiser boat it would have had a trim panel. These boat are built like a tank and might need a different trailer if you start loading up the weight with a BB. It looks like a project that could keep someone busy and out of circulation for quite a while. Enjoy! Randy

The pic under the carport is a vee drive x-18, also for sale. They're Wes Heiland's boats.

I like this more original one which is more complete for $4800.00 with tandem trailer.

again the cut out is bigger than a normal volvo cut out and most volvos pick up water from the drive and don't need an external pickup, unless it was an e drive or had a nose cone, if i had to bet i would say it was a volvo than had a merc put on it and they probably used the merc/volvo transom adaptor???
I'll see if i have pics of the volvo cutout on the 19 cig

It also seems a little odd having the steering on the left, generally left hand rotation, with the water pick-up on the left.
This is opposite of my 1979 20' Cigarette which has a left side steering, left hand rotation and water pick-up on right side. It is always interesting to uncover the history of boat and modifications. New owners always "think" they have a better idea. Fun stuff!
