Very cool. Nothing like full power and full torque from 0 RPM up.

Of course, the EE naysayer mentioned in the piece should have talked to a diesel-electric railroad guy, for starters.

(As an aside, I have to say I'm SO sick of the lying "greenies" who present this bull$hit. "Without producing an ounce of air pollution." Right. And those batteries look pretty good for the environment too. And yet, people buy into it...)

But the car kicks ass. I wonder what ordinary driving range is like...

He's not a pioneer; I was running brackets aginst an electric car 2-years ago that was running low 11's and dead on consistent.

It's nice that there's a wind farm-supplied power source near the track he runs at. I'm assuming that he's not plugging into the fossil fuel-supplied grid to recharge. :P

Neat setup for sure. His hole shot is pretty remarkable!
