Greetings:
Looking for a 351 to swap into my 1970 16 SkiSporter; ideally, with a 270 drive.
Thanks.

Hi Chris, I have a '78 Correct Craft, Mustang 17 with a Cleveland or a Winsor, cannot remember which one is blue. Posted it on Craig's List last Fall for $2,500, could work on the # if you're interested PM me.
Thanks, Michael (aka Bubba Dog)

We will be removing this 351 H-M and H-M volvo outdrive from this Cobalt GT500 (Corsican Clone) soon. Very soon if you come down and get the whole shebang (engine, drive and all accessories) for $500. There is another spare volvo drive also not pictured included. To be honest I do not know what "number" this volvo drive is but it does have the coveted H-M plate on the back of it.

For more pics go here:

Sorry the logs/risers are not available until we see if they fit the new 351 efi engine we have for this boat. If not you can have them for extra $.

You can also have the H-M literature booklet shown also. Be advised we are cutting the drive and engine out of the transom in ONE PIECE. If you want to unbolt it, then come help us get it out.

That's a deal!!!!
What year is it? (ie 69/70, or later?)

I have no idea what the year is. If you browse through the photobucket photos on the link above you will see photos of the ID plate for the GT500. That may provide some clue.

Now I would assume that this is a "rebuildable" core but even the H-M bits (bellhousing, various other castings with H-M on it, etc. is worth the price).

If anybody wants this give us 24 hours notice and we will have it ready to go in your pickup truck bed. Or have somebody through uship.com pick it up for you.

Should be original engine so boat and engine should be the same year. We need a Cobalt expert to weigh in on what year this would be. I do not know.

Hey,now:
Where are you, Rustnrot? I'm inNorth Jersey but can take a run to most places, although my old pickup probably can't get far. I'd be up for a roadtrip, though. Feel free to hit me off-list, cwhydeesq@mac.com
and we can figure out a schedule!

Possibly this thread will help:

scroll up to the post from "72Hornet"
This date has come up several times, so it's actually of interest that Cobalt cloned these Donzi's while Donzi was building them! The Corsican production contnued until 1972 AFAIK . . . ending with just over 42 boats . . I've heard that Cobalt built 50 GT500s . . . but have no verification of these numbers!
H&M Marine packages ended in the early 70's . . .
My 1969 Corsican came with a Volvo 250 . . and a 302
I also had another that was a 1968 this had the 270 Volvo with the 351 . . .
I'd bet you have the 270 . . .
Is the H&M tag still on the bellhousing? Can you post any pictures of the front mounting plate . . they altered the design of this along the way.

Looks like a 250 not a 270. Which means nothing, there pretty much the same drive.I say 250 because I have not encountered a 270 badge on the transmission cover. the 270's I have seen have the H/M on the transom shield.Could be wrong just my experience on these. Then again I have never seen a H/M volvo with thru hull exhaust and vent plate exhaust port. Valve covers and alum. intake are not original either so who knows.

I have 351 board and stroke to a 427. But i spun a barring and it needs a basic rebiuld crank pistint and bore to 50 or 60 or over plus the motor has 194 ford racig heads. Edle brock intake with msd distributer shelby cobra valve covers the motor has all the good stuff selling it cheap if interested...
