With the efficiency these drives provide, I would think SEI could market a drive like this and would have a easy time selling them with the cost of fuel last summer IMHO.

Good question, I'm not sure. I remember reading a thread on another boating site as to whether or not there would be a large enough market to produce them, but I can't remember the site or timeframe. I think this auction indicates there would be significant interest, whether or not it would be enough, I have no clue. Oh well, I'll find one someday. Until then, I'll be chugging along at around 60, with the rest of the ladies.:kingme:

Boy what a deal, used ones have sold for 2.5k that looked and was stated to be near new. Someone is a super happy camper!

Looks like a nice drive.


I purchased this drive to manufacture ( in Canada) some of the internal parts. Still in the works. The lower gear housing may be to costly to cast for my 1 inch shorter version. If anyone requires gear hsg vertical shafts drop me a line.
