So since we saw Marley & Me (which i'd recommend) I decided to ask everyone to show their pets, children, best buddies etc.
Jamie & I have Dylan a 5 year old dudley yellow lab we rescued from a certain death

he is an amazing kind soul who is smarter than the average bear! lol.He is my heart!
And then there is Frankie ..an 11 year old dachshund who marches to the beat of his own drum, doesn't listen and pretty much does what he wants on his time..but in reality..though i've had him since he was 6 week..he loooooves his daddy!

Poodle - forget about keeping him off the bed. That will NEVER work. You will just drive yourself crazy in the attempts. :nilly::nilly::nilly:

I agree with Diana...when J is in bed on the weekends it's all about the boys sleeping with him LOL!
Dylan goes "back to bed" every day once Jamie goes to work :)

Olive is survivor of a duo of Black Labradors - her beloved sister left us unexpectedly in Sept.
Sparky is a Rescue dog (Blue Merle Border Collie)
Sullivan is our latest edition - a Rescue dog from West Virgina who was found starving, most of her fur had dropped out. She is a Lab/hound mix.

Very nice Cliff! Is that yours?

Straight from the shelter................the big fella is Jared, when we got him, he was about 25 pounds overweight, the previous owners firmly believed food is affection. So we named him after the guy from the Subway ads, cause he really needed to lose some weight. He was quite the chunky monkey.:biggrin.: Lily is the little girl, she got her name for obvious reasons. She's extremely shy, and was rescued from a puppy factory. Her job was simply to live in a small cage and have litter after litter, to be sold in pet stores.:garfield: She's coming around though.:odie:

I'm gonna answer that one...

Yup - that's his pup. His name is Baxter - he is named after a 'Poodle.

He's a very good boy. He may be a Beagle but he listens and can even be let off a leash. Oh - and he is very good at agility.

Rich, very nice. I am gald you rescued those dogs and I know that they have a good home now.

Diana, nice to meet you. We have had our Beagle for almost 6 years! I never knew they made all the funny squeaks and grunts like Snoopy! He is a fun dog, very nice and loves everyone. Great family dog. Saw some pics of you sanding the Critter, didn't look like a whole lot of fun!:)

Here's our critters!

The Beagles are Fannie & Jack. The others are all rescues: Larry, (diabetic, and now blind but happy), Buddy the Aussie, Willie and Rose the mutts! And the kitty, Wilson.

We love them all!

If I could just keep him off the bed..... :boggled::boggled:

Good luck with that, Poodle...but some dogs just don't think they way we do. Haha.

My roomate in college has a little yorky and he is a bastard (pardon my language...but that's just the best way to describe him). It's ok, though because he felt the same way about me. This dog has personality if any dog ever has! Anyway, any time that my roomate was gone for the night, Max HAD to sleep in my bed. He was so friggin dependent it wasn't even funny! Funny, though that after a couple years away I actually kinda miss the little guy.:frown:

This is Roger riding on the front of Roller Girl. Cruiser rides are one of his favs. He has yet to go on a Donzi ride. It will happen but I must have help making sure that the paws don't get on the deck.

Roger is an incredible dog. I lost my black lab Leon this year. You can never replace a dog but I somehow think that Roger understands. He has great papers but more importantly is a great dog. He is my buddy

I also have a mutt named Sadie. She is a dang good dog. I will find a few pics of her.

I have been fortunate to have some great dogs. Some I found, some I bought and some adopted me.

Here are a few shots of the Bird keeping an eye on the last huricane. Had to leave the Eufala gathering a day early to secure things.

Bryan, didn't figure you for a dog owner. Nice looking Husky!

Benny is a now 9 month old Pembroke Welsh Corgi. This pic of him and our son John was taken mid October 2008 when we took a fall ride on the Mullica River. He enjoys rides in our 66' triple hatch and our 77' 13 foot whaler. Included is a pic of our daughter Catherine taking her first Donzi ride that nice fall day. Another is a pic of the kids from when Benny came home at 8 months.

She is almost 6 now and this last year was the first year she didn't jump, I think she's getting older and maybe smarter, key is to start them early at it, first time I walked her up there jumped off myself and she followed then it was game on from that point on. She has been a great Lake Dog. Steve
