Funny you said that Mike, I was wondering the same thing. Looks like it could really help with the noise regs if an officer was testing at idle.:boat:

yep that's what the are they are turn downs similar to the gt that was on ebay a short time ago. the gt was from lake george and it had SS tips that were curled like elbow macaroni so the exhaust was under water at idle

Is that something that was manufactured back in the 70's, or is it a custom thing?

Just curious

I finally stopped by and looked at this one in person. Looked decent enough from 10 feet but it had the requisite spider cracks on the engine hatch and deck. Mostly original parts with reasonable updates. I'm curious though what original power/drive would've been. The broker called the owner and confirmed it's a 300hp small block in there now, not the 330hp which they probably pulled from NADA or something. An interesting note is that whoever put the Alpha (Gen I) on there also drilled and installed an external drive resevoir. The owner said it does around 52-53mph and that's with a 17" prop.

I have my heart set on a Hornet II with the front bench, ladder and sun pad. But if I had the cash I'd seriously consider this III a decent value.
