I recall reading a post where the gas tanks in the newer classics are now plastic. If that is so, what year was the change made from the metal tanks? Who supplies the plastic tanks?

1999-22C Plastic tank.

My 1990 18 had plastic

Curious why you are asking? Is it Ethanol related?

My 2009 18 CLASSIC has an alum tank.
