Anyone thinking of cheaping out and buying a SternDrive Engineered Alpha, take a look at this!!:shocking: As some of you know I had problems with the aligment of the casting of the oil passage on the first 2 drives. The third drive was missing an oil seal all together! This is the forth one and yes, it did give us 200hrs of service, but it should have never exploded under regular running conditions on a 16 classic!

I assume so because they are only $1200 (or so) direct from SEI.

I have a Merc 888 that has one season on it after a (drive guru in this area) rebuild for the same price.

You would never see a Volvo do that.
