Well it has been a great year with our second Donzi ZX, over 150.0 hours this year, she goes south in 3 weekends to her birth place, 2 of which the wife has call, therefore no boating those weekends, so I have decided to start laying her to rest for the 2002 year... :(
I have spent the last two days removing everything and deep cleaning.

After the boat comes back from the factory we have a few improvements to do to her mechanically.
I am ready to start the winter projects now, but want to wait until I see how the warranty work at Donzi comes out. The initial return promise date from Donzi is 10 December. :) I will deliver her the morning of the 21st of Oct....

When I get her back she will have a new Fairing and Engine Hatch and a couple other new items.

Just thought I would share the news with the Donzi brothern...
Thanks to all who have given GREAT advice and wisdom to me this year, I learn something daily about boating!

HARBORMASTER, one of my upgrades this winter I do plan to share on the board and try to earn a T-Shirt, I will photo that project step by step.
CDMA, maybe you should fly in for a week in January!!!!
Thanks again, Bryan

Bryan,
I met Rick, a buddy of yours in Kent Island last weekend. He is a heck of a nice guy. My Brother talked to him on OSO and told him that we would be at the Jetty with the Blackhawk. We swapped Navy stories all night. He invited us down the the poker run that the HRPA holds every year.

Hey, Bryan to bad you coudn't trailer the boat down next week and go to the Donzi Rally then drop the boat off, The Hyatt is only 1 mile away from the Donzi factory.. cool!

Greg M., yep Rick is one of my closest buds, we did a deployment together to the Gulf in 96 and have been friends since. His Sunsation is awesome! Where are you located?????

Frank, I hear ya, but I am in school that week. I plan to leave here Saturday the 19th for a Monday morning delivery back to the Factory.

I told Nancy I was stowing stuff away and she said "WHAT!?" LOL
January and Febuary will be here soon enough, as long as Donzi stands by their promise we will be boating those months, those occassional 70 degree February days are nice when you have the fever....

Bryan,
I'm out of the Nav now, have been for about 5 years. Did a Westpac as a SuppO on a Frigate, and a tour in your backyard as a Debark Officer up at Cheatham Annex. I will have to try to make it down this spring for big poker run.

Florida would be nice but we like all four seasons.

I will see Florida in a couple weeks, I got my trip ticket to Sarasota from AAA yesterday!
I do need specifics on what exit the factory is on etc.... I 75 I think, I chose it over the 301 shorter route.

One of our members (2001 33 Scarab) is the 4th largest Scallop boat men in the US, some of his fleet is out of Florida. On occassion he brings one of his Scallop boats to the weekend events.... and seafood is ALWAYS provided. Some may not like commercial fisherman, but by golly we do! He returns this week to Fla on "SHACK MONEY II."
Oh and my Donzi Girl is looking good in Yellow...
Thanks Frankie....

Those pics makes me home sick, Bryan. Especially the one where you guys are pulled up at 64th Street Narrows. I grew up a couple of miles away from there on 88th, and that's where I used to run my 16 Donzi back in the 1970s and '80s and caught blue crabs by the bushel right there where those boats are pulled up back in the 1960s.

FORREST, great to hear from ya.
Yep, 64st is a popular spot, the Dolphins come right up to the boat.....
Many a party and belly full of good food there.
I hope you make it back our way soon....
We would love to host you two....

Plug for our club...
Nice thing is of 35 awesome boats, we get 10 to 15 together at the drop of a hat, no planning!
HRPA ROCKS!

Last Pic for now;
one of the nicest, best maintained PQ's on the water in this area.
Big Jon....

Bryan,
I keep my Blackhawk on Kent Island, MD. It is a real popular area, right across the Bay from Annapolis. Lots of dock bars and plenty of good destinations in the area. I hope to make it down to your poker run next year. Were you at the Thunder on the Bay Donzi Poker Run?

GREG, nope, didn't make Thunder on the Bay, we did make AOTH II and the Smith Mountain Lake Poker Run, another between our sister club and our own HRPA Poker Run, and a few more, our season was quite full? It did seem odd not to boat this weekend...

Have you ever been to SM Lake?

Their Poker Run is awesome, we had 75 boats and 7 stops, $265 a boat, lots of fun....

FRANK, I always enjoy our chats, talk to ya soon.
