During the removal of my leaky steering actuator I twisted one of the hard line ends off of the high pressure power steering hose. I figured no problem, the hose is long enough to have someone crimp a new fitting on.

Went to an Aeroquip Hydraulic Supply and they said no go. They knew it was Mercruiser just by lookin at it.

Since it was on my way home I cruised by West Marine to see if I could get Merc part# and then google it when I got home. No luck there either. Those guys dont know what they're doin.

So now I'm searching the internet trying to find a schematic and I cant find anything. I'm trying to find it online rather than paying someone $300 for a 48" hose. Any ideas where I can get a part number or listing.

Is that steering actuator I sent you going to fit? You don't have to go aeroquip. any good hose supply co should be able to hook you up, or Poodle can get you oem stuff.

The actuator is perfect fit, thanks so much. Did you get the funds and the shirt?

It was just a Hydraulic Supply place in Ft Lauderdale that happened to be an aeroquip dealer too. They knew right away it was Merc. Damn Mercruiser trying to make me come back to them for parts. It's got a high pressure fitting on both ends.

Poodle, I've got some flare nut wrenches but the problem was that the hard line tubing and the nut were rusted together no allowing the nut to spin freely. It just twisted the tubing and snap!! It's a Bravo I and the serial number is OL565577. It's on my '00 22ZX. If you need me to measure the length let me know.

Need to know the engine to find the hose. It is on the Power Steering microfiche.

Here are parts schematics.
http://www.marinepowerservice.com/frm_mercruiser.cfm

or

http://www.mercruiserparts.com/mercruiser_parts.asp

Should both be the same. At least you can get a reference price and a part number from their sites.

Then plug the part number in here to get a better price.

or call poodle.

Well I'm a dumby. I kept looking at the drive parts explosion rather than the engine. The actuator schematic is on the drive and pump and hoses is on the engine schematic.
