Never saw a Coast Guard Fire Arrester look like a K&N without an element before, but like I said, I'm only getting back into this stuff after a 30+ year hiatus......

That's funny, when I originally bought my 16, it had one of those Edelbrock air filters on it. The guy couldn't figure out why it wouldn't get past 2500 rpm and thought something was wrong with the engine, which was reflected in the price of the boat. The filter was mucked up..........we ditched that thing and the boat TOOK OFF! I don't think that filter is CG approved.

The engine has Chriscraft exhaust and Tstat housing, may have been a used transplant.

no the 350 was common in classics in chris craft form in that time era i would say it was original, that was the same setup the 19 cig had before we went to SM risers

Thanks Matt! I lose track of the breaks in ownership.

has nothing to do with ownership the chris craft package was available in a 300 330 and a 350 hp package and was a popular package in donzi and cigarettes until they standardized on merc cruiser power/drive trains
they were used in volvo packages commonly after holman moody dropped out of the marine scene in the mid 70's not sure if they were ever mated to a merc drive???

I thought it may have been something to do with who owned Donzi at the time. I worked on a lot of mid to late 70's Chriscrafts with that package, it was a very durable setup as usual.
