I spoke with the owner a few days ago. Boat is in nice shape and a pretty new aluminum trailer as well. I believe he said the previous owner rebuilt the motor to stock. He also sent me a photo of the "new" interior the previous owner had made. It's stark white and really clashes with the honey. Really don't understand why they had done that because they had gone to the trouble of matching the stripe of the boat on the back seats?
Anyway, I got the impression that it can be had with a reasonable offer.....he wants it gone.

Never have seen a Minx with Donzi decals matching the other classics.
All the ones I have seen say Donzi with Minx in smaller letters.
If this is from the factory with logos, it is as rare as Tim Morris's Minx with the "Classic" engine vents.

It looks like the original gelcoat....especially in the photo of the transom on the trailer. Even the aft-most emblem is worn out, sure looks original? It is odd....
Anyway, here's a shot of the interior he had sent me, I don't think he'd mind  :

Has this Minx been around for a while OR for sale fairly recently before this fellow had it? It seems as though I saw a blue and cream one in FL on eBay a little over a year ago. It was in the $12K range. Either way, good lookin boat. Wish I had the extra cash.

I know where there is a brand new Bilt Rite(Fla Bilt Rite, not Va Bilt Rite) interior never used for a Honey Brown/Blue Minx. The new interior was very likey built by the same man who built the original interior in 1987
I really doubt the party would sell it though.

Why, were you thinking of giving it to me for a Christmas surprise? Now how much is our spending limit on presents this year? ha ha It may go over just a tad. Unc.

you could just have it re-done... I just had my Minx re-done for under $1000. I think the base material price was $800, I opted for a carbon fiber material that cost a bit more.

I don't care who you are or which Donzi models you like, that thing is wonderful! I believe I am color blind though, is it blue or black? Priced right. Mark, did you ever replace your guages on your 22? Would love to talk to you about the old ones if you have time. Thanks, Tom 256-777-0844 or mishunaire@aol.com

I have a 67" Donzi blue w/white stripe in the center. It's powered by a holman & moody 427 dual quads. I think it pushes about 500 hp. My father handed it down to me. He bought it back in the 70's. I'm looking for someone to work on the body for me. Anyone know somebody that's good with classic Donzi's?

Craig, sounds very cool. Plenty of people within this network that are good with the classics. You might want to start a new thread under 'performance talk' and we LOVE pictures. I look forward to seeing them!
All the best
