it's been on my mind but needs new interior including drop out stand up bolsters and a trailer then the windshield has to go and a beveled fairing and the 900 and the arneson have to get installed i figure around 80k plus the 3k just about what my tuition bills will be for next semester:confused:

------I went down and took a lookie at this Doral and talked to the owner. While it needs just a bit more than odds and ends it is a "smokin" deal, IMO. The boat originally was a 280/TRS. Some former owner put the large block in it and a B/W trans. That moved the engine forward 4 inches and necessitated a cut-out in the bulkhead. Would have been much better to move the bulkhead forward a bit which is relatively easy in a Doral as it is removeable, but they chose the easy way out. Some of the removeable floor panels are soft, once again, no biggie. A guy could get away with the exterior paint for a season or two, while doing other things. Boat has always been in the Detroit area and looked solid as far as rot because it always resided on a lift. On that note, though, do your homework and have it looked at by a pro. Still in all a steal. Owner said it ran well but I did not hear it run. Owner also said that he felt he could scare up a used trailer for it if necessary as well as he is in the marina business. Good luck!!!!!!!.........Bill S

Good bit of info, Bill!

That really has a lot of potential for a great looking and unique Donzi, especially for someone on the coast I would think. Oh, how I wish I were rich and were able to do all the things I'm thinking with this boat!
