Define big power ;)

On another note, I have seen a v-8 put in a Renault LeCar - very similar in proportions lol :D

There is a guy down the street from me who installed a blower motor in an MGB, and it sounds wicked! I have yet to talk to him to see if he beefed up the chassis, suspension, and brakes - yikes! Bill

I seem to remember during the '60's when Minis where available here, that a few twin engined cars emerged. One complete drive train in the front and another in the rear.

Remember the Renault R5 Turbos ? Built for Group B rally homologation? They had Big box fender flares, and mid engine turbo motors. Super cool.

I do remember those,... I used to remember imagining MY LeCar taking steroids and ending up an R5 Turbo,.... I used to (and still do) really love watching the Rally races.

I was driving around in a LeCar, where most of my friends had VW Bugs,... I was "recruited" to build quite a few VW engines, built a 2100cc screamer for my best friend,.... (play Wayne's World dream sequence),...

We had been fooling around with his bug all day,..... passing around some smoke, kickin back listening to the classic rock station - typical summer in Florida ;) , any way, we were in the garage putting the beast into the bug (3 of us). Me, being the biggest was supporting the engine on the floor jack under the car and aligning everything, while they wiggled it around, and raised the jack up for me. Finally after wrestling with this thing for about half an hour, I finally get the 4 bolts started to hold the engine to the tranny. So, I wiggle out from the underside of the car, grab a beer, and take another toke. About that time, one of my favorite Zepplin songs was playing - "What is and what should never be", and right at the point in the song where the guitar starts bouncing from the right to the left channel and back, I happen to gaze (for lack of a better word considering the condition I was in) at the workbench, and that's when I realized that I hadn't installed the clutch :boggled::bonk::eek: couldn't help but laugh of course

Oh well, the rest of the day was as they say what it was ;) :shades::pimp:

Over the next couple of days we fixed that problem,.... man was that a fun car when we were done!!

This guy just might be the inspiration for the remake of our Morris :) :)

My mother had a Morris Minor when she was yonger. It was her punishment after she rolled her Bettle.

Oh yeah - I loved the Topolino dragsters!

I seem to recall this as well. Or one of my other mini-car favorites, the 'shogun'- A Taurus SHO V6 in the back of a Ford Festiva
