Does anyone have any trick ideas, or even any idea how the engine hatch on a 1967 Ski Sporter is dealt with?
Does anyone use a cool electric hatch actuator? Are there kits with the correct hinges and latches? Are they standard Perko type stuff, or will I be custom fabbing the system?

It would be cool to not have to use a sawed off broomstick to hold the hatch up!
Thanks,
GG

hinges are easy JUST REVERSE THEM NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there are two ways to deal with the hinges

1 use a left handed and a right handed hinge this way the hatch will not slide off this is a bit of a pita when attaching the hatch and if you need to remove the hatch it is another pita

2 would use the same direction hinge that has a set screwon both sides and use a set screw which will hold the hinge in place and if you need to remove the hatch just remove the set screws

we added gas struts on the 20 cig hatch but that is a big hatch

but working on the 16 with a v8 the hatch limits access and gas struts would just be in the way when you need to work on it

Dana may also have hatch hinges. If you don't have their catalog it is a must :shades::shades::shades::shades::shades:
