Last night I walking into the tv room and the trailer for the new Bond movie was on.... I just caught a real quick look, but I thought I saw a blue Shelby Edition in the boat chase..

Anybody know anything about that?

Saw the trailer again, pretty sure it was a Chris Craft XK-19, looked just like this one

It was only on the TV commerical, I looked for it on youtube before I posted this question... I bet that it is on youtube somewhere, but after watching about 10 movie clips I gave up

Watch for it on the TV and it is within the first few seconds, it is a rear shot heading out of a bay.... There is only a glimps of it, so that is why the first time I saw it I thougt it was a Shelby

hmmmm.....that's not the Chris posted above. aft deck is too short and it's got for/aft jump seats. Looks more like a utility design than a sport boat, but I have no idea what it is.

But I can see why you thought that if you only saw it on TV - it's only on-screen for a second to two.

Yep... I was wrong... with it just flashing on the screen for a second...I thought I saw a x-19 or a shelby.... just a imitation I guess

I just saw the new one (Quantum of Solace)........

It starts off about 5 minutes after "Casino Royale" ends.

There's great chase scenes, boat chases...even airplane chases (even DC-3's).

It's well worth seeing, but I'd strongly reccomend renting Casino Royale first.
It'll make a lot more sence.

Given the layout, and the look of the interior appointments, I'm guessing that may be an interesting (not necessarily high performance) European build of some sort. I'll do some recon at the movies in a few days...

Pretty sure it was a Sunseaker. British built boat, so that fits.

I think it's running Volvo diesels/duoprop drives from the gauges (4K on the tach).

Not exactly a performance boat, but not a total dog.
