Why would the placard say Jan. 1984?

Nice car though.............

The tag is from a customizing company, I saw the same one on a Benz locally.

It sure has many of the same lines as a deTomaso Pantera (one of my dream cars). Bill

Glad to see I'm not the only one to see the Pantera resemblance..
Especially the back end. (owner of a Pantera for 36 yrs now) ...Ed

-------While an M1 is a rare car, a bastardized one such as this is worth far less than a stock one. Can you imagine cutting speakerholes in the doors of a Duesenberg???..........Bill S

I agree with the speakers, but I like the ground effects package. Looks like the race version in Procar. Also looks like other cars of the era, Lamborghini, Lotus, Pantera (not the early 70's ones as much, but the GT-5).

Ed,
Have you kept your Pantera original? Did you do some of the upgrades? A friend and I almost bought a new one in 1971, but it would not have lasted - lol. I still plan to buy one some day. Bill

I'm thinking this is a "Grey Market" car and maybe not useable (liscensable).

One short thread stealing moment

Pantera has every upgrade ever brought out includind 4" drop floor pan

Its only 485 h.p. unless you hit the nox, then a tad over 700 h.p.

Now back to our regular programming (sorry) ...Ed
