Well I was dicking with the Quicksilver Series 3000 side mounted control box on the 18 today, the arm was very loose and sloppy so i read up on how to take the neutral shift button out to get to the nut inside the arm to snug it up, well i broke the friggin plastic neutral button!!

Question, is there a replacement one available? and if so, does anybody have a part number i can ask for? I have done a long search through Google etc and can not come up with a part number...? Thanks for any help.

(Mental note to self, leave well enough alone...............)

Cool I have been needing one for years but never could find the part number. the button lives in my cup holder next to the throttle I push it in there when I need to start it

Merc had a recall on some of those shifters, you may want to check with them first before you spend any money on that one..ger the serial # and call them.you may have a freebe coming..

This is a mid to late 1990's unit, would a recall go back that far? I will pull the unit and definatly get the serial number, thanks. I did find the part at the local dealer, who believe it or not, had it in stock!!! $4.........
