Well... here is shot of IMO one of the most beautiful lakes in the US:yes:. Thanks to brother Scott who took this on top of his property near Pilot Knob. The view is looking South towards LG Village. From the left is Rockhurst Point, then Cleverdale, and Assembly Point. The large Island far right is Long Island.
This was taken a few weeks ago....man I miss summer already...

It's definitely on my list of places I need to see someday.

C'mon Dwight - don't let the cat out of the bag! For years I've been telling people that it's not that nice, that it's over rated, that it's too crowded, that they should go to some other lake....but I think they've been able to see through my deception. I can't figure out why .....

Is the fall picnic spot in the pic? I had a family wedding that weekend or I would have been there. Is Bolton Landing on the far shore or near shore?:)

I hear it is beautiful and a place I plan on visiting one day, especailly for the dustoff. Very nice pics. I think everyone is partial to thier home lake. I still think my home lake, Jackson Lake, is the most beautiful in the US. A couple of pics.

Nice shot Dwight. We've been having some bonus days this fall. There would be snow on the mountains if he took the photo today. 26 degrees this a.m.
Yes the fall picnic spot is in the photo. Speaker Heck Is. is at the end of Long Island, just to the right of the end of assembly point (center right of the photo)

Nice pix DW!

Now I see what you mean about boating at altitude! One of these years I'm going Donzi camping! A long road trip just to see and enjoy all these great bodies of water.

Thanks, it is about the size of Tahoe with not a single home on it. 3 Marinas, couple of resturants and a bar that sells the best blackberry margaritas on the planet and thats about it. Actually gets up to about 78-80 degrees in the summer. Great camping also. A "busy" day on the lake is maybe 50 boats, although that is increasing as it is being "discovered".

One of me and Mt. Moran (12,605 ft) after sunset.
