2002 Yamaha GP1200R

Engine: Originally 1200cc. Now, 1300cc with case and cylinder porting by Lowell Horning of 2-stroke-porting.com. Lowell also cut the stock head. Compression is 172, 171, and 168 psi. on a Matco Tools tester and 157, 157, 155 with a Napa tester. Squish is .053". Run time on this setup is approx. 26 hours. I run 95 octane for good measure by mixing 1 gal. of 110 with 4 gals. 92 octane.

Crank: new OEM trued and welded by Riva installed with big bore upgrade.

Carbs: OEM carbs modded by Island Racing with T-handles, chokes removed, accelerator pump removed, primer installed. Prok FA's. Jetting is 120 low, 130 high. Fuel pressure gauge mounted on left cowling.

Reeds: VF-III with spacer from Lowell.

Power valves: R&D billet

Pre-Mix: Amsoil Dominator only, free case of oil included.

D-plate: opened up for 1300.

Jetworks hole shot mod installed with my own bypass valve to slow it and quiet it down in no-wake zones.

CDI: Advent D-70 curve set. Currently set to YAM-94. Stock CDI included.

Rule 500 GPH auto bilge pump with switch in glove box.

Pump: '05 HO pump with Dynafly pitched to 13.5/24 by IR.

85mm reduction nozzle, siphon and visibility spout filled and blended.

Plate: Jim’s Performance FF plate, pump and outlet nozzle ground for proper fitment.

Intake grate: R&D 800 or R&D 1200 with trimmed wings

Pump shoe: recessed, blended, sealed, and filled. Yes, it has holes drilled and they got it past a buck at 77 MPH!

Stock metal trim tabs shimmed.

N8R's smooth water keel extension.

R&D steering nozzle.

Stepped stock sponsons.

PET 2100DX tach mounted on glove box

Both Kerry speed packages installed.

Jettrim seat cover.

Custom black painted cowlings and black/carbon-look Exotic Signs graphics.

Carbon fiber windscreen and gas cap.

Gator Grip mats.

Blue Yamaha cover.

Peak speed is 80 MPH flat with 220lb rider at 700' ASL. 78's anytime!

Trailer had all new hubs/bearings and new radial tires installed July, '07. Includes gas can rack with two 5-gallon Scribner fuel jugs.
