Thanks guys.

Yes we're here in Hawaii for my B'Day and a few other things, good and bad.

I'm 40, :biggrin.:
My wife and I just had our 13th Aniv. :bighug:
This is where I was conceived 40 9/12's years ago while my dad was on leave from Vietnam.

My mom has a medical problem that may not leave her much time so she's here with us. :frown:

My wife is having open heart surgery in 2-weeks after we return. :frown:

This was a chance to forget about everything else, enjoy life, family and have some fun, enjoying the water, surf, jellyfish :nilly: and history here.

I was concieved in Hawaii also. Dad was stationed at Pear Harbor. He was running patrol around Antiwetoc Island, when they were testing the H-Bomb. Dad never even told mom what they were doing, until he heard it on 60 minutes 40 years later. Mom said she knew, because all the other wives talked, but did was sworn to secrecy. He takes his word seriously. Mom says that's why I'm crazy. I have radioactive blood. :)

My older sister was born at the Army hospital, before Hawaii was a state.

I just said a prayer for you, and your family.

Nice story Cuda. My wife lived here when she was 1 and her brother was born at Tripler. They were only here for a year so she can't remember much but they do have pictures.

We just went out and watched the sun come up after watching it go down yesterday evening on the other side of the island. It's been a fun trip; we're 2-blocks off Waimanalo Beach on the windward side of the island, but go home today.

My wife should have a good outlook, Mitral Valve repair. Her recovery will be tough but she has a strong will and I know she/we will get through it.

My mom has a tough road ahead. Alzheimer’s is slowly stealing her away from us.
