They were calling for a early season major snow storm here. Boy, they weren't kidding! Started snowing around 3:00 P.M. yesterday and we got at least 8-12 overnight on the valley floor. Mountains got 12-36 inches. Calling for another 4-8 today. Here are some pics of my poor Donzi and front yard.

WOW, it just seems like yesterday you were getting everything out for the season and waiting for the last spring snows to melt.

It sure is purdy but I'm glad it's still in the mid '80's here ;)

Ok DW: Do you have to shovel off the roofs of your houses every so often to keep them from caving in? Last winter in NH they had to do that about 4 times during the winter. Maybe once is normal. They got 14 feet. Maybe heavier building codes in JH??? John

Patti, Margi says hi. Sounds like some weather coming your way. You are right, 80 is too hot to cut wood.

DonziJon, we have to shovel roofs occassionally, but they are built to hold a hell of a lot of snow. Shoveling your roof sucks big time. Main thing is not to get an ice jam which will cause leaks. Some people run hot tape on thier roofs to melt the snow as it falls.

I use to but not no more!! put a new roof on the old cabin in wi,6'' of foam and a steel roof..it just slides off

May be somthing you want to look into on the new pad DW..

Knowing where you live, are you referring to inches or FEET !!! ?

Man, that is just cruel. :(

Sunny and cool here.

Inches. Snowed all weekend. Got a foot at my house. 2-3 feet in the mountains. Beautiful today. Some even tried some skiing, but too bony for me.

You could put Boo Boo behind the wheel of the Donzi with a Santa hat on, with the snow still on the deck, and you've got one helluva cool Christmas card.
