Minor but may be $$, the stud on the back side of the power steering broke off. Looks like it may be part of the resivour and not replaceable. This spoils my sneak attack on Winni this weekend!

New issue! Apparently there were a few different configurations, I need to find out which pump Merc was using in the mid 80's. What gets me Mr. Nice Guy I gave a spare I had to Bonnie's son due to his resivour being rusted through.

Phil, the stud screws into the pump THROUGH the housing. Just extract it. The housing is what comes in several configurations. Most of the pumps are pretty similar. The studs are available in the same stores as where you buy the rebuilt pump cartridge.

Yes, he is. The ice can't be thick enough to stop a boat yet...

Hope you get it back together for the weekend sneak Phil. :)

Mine broke at one point too. I went to a boat junk yard and they pulled one out of pump that was laying around- hit it with a wire brush for me, and didn't even charge me for it. I gave the guy $5 just for hooking me up.

Not frozen yet, but definately frost on the pumpkins this a.m. Put mine to bed for the winter last week. Phil get that baby fixed so you can get at least one last ride. I always like to get that official last ride in, and I missed it this year. Going into winter with a big void.

I milk it as long as I can, I have made draining a reasonably simple task. Takes only a few minutes to cork it back up for a ride!
