Just curious as to what you all think about this plan. This is an anonymous Poll. I have been following this as closely as many of you. Deneens' sister is in LA and is upside down in her home. Deneens' Financial Company is at odds with the Investment markets and clients money as well. It has a huge effect no question. But, in all the reading I have done, the shows, the banter, I wonder how "BAD" this really is, and if in fact after the dust settles the Markets will rise (again) and the losers (Institutions) will settle out and you will have a market with a good Foundation once again. Without the bailout.

I also question the timing of all of this, not the Housing crisis (values, as the Bailout is not going to make your house price double again) but the Financial Institution Crisis. Near the end of the current Presidency and $hit hits the fan and everything is quickly needing a "fix" . ???

How come other "Bills" don't get three or four passes through the House until it gets a "Yes" . The deposit taking Financial Institutions in the US are not that bad off. The "credit depots" are another story. Basically an unregulated Gigantic casino.

By the way, anyone who is interested should read the article at the link above--it's another good explanation of what is going on, from a somewhat different perspective, but the conclusion is largely the same as a lot of what has been discussed. Thanks for the post.

I haven't read it yet but a friend was telling me about an article a young financial wiz wrote countering the $700 billion buy out. He noted that if you devided the $700 billion amongst the US population (over the age of 18) each person would receive a significant amount of money (about $250K). Those with debt could pay it off. It would go to the banks asking for the buy out. Has anyone read the article?

I never realized this same question was in the POLITICS section. My bad. :(

Sorry bout that but the above Poll numbers speak the same story as the Polls online and the inundation of Emails to Congress from US citizens. Not too many folks all that happy about this. Let's hope that the elected politicians listen to their respective ridings and carry the wishes of the Taxpayers.

LT,

Not MY proposal. I heard about an article. Never read it. I do agree with your math (thank the 5th graders).

Ask the 5th graders to teach you how to spell Executives, or at least use spell check. Sorry to pick on you buddy.

LT,

Not to keep this going but I did not QUOTE an article. I stated it was one that a friend told me about and I had not read it. I was asking if anyone had heard of it.

Sorry that some are so defensive and opinionated about anything to do with politics.

No response required.
