'95 18 w/Scorpion

That '95 18 with the 377 Scorpion that was on e-bay a month ago showed up in my neighborhood this past week. Stopped by and talked to the guy yesterday, looks pretty good. Needs a little TLC, mostly from sittting. He was hoping to go try it for the first time today. I'm going out for a rip so I might run into him. Be interesting to see how it goes with that package. Still can't figure out what they were thinking when they mounted those trim tabs.:confused: Seller must have been motivated, went for way less than the original Buy It Now price.

There have been a couple of discussions on various sites about mounting tabs horizontally, looks odd but some say they will not hook the boat in turns and that very little tab surface is actually needed at speed.

Great day on the water. The scorpion was off the water by noon. Sounds like they idled through a large swell and took one over the bow. Girlfriend was soaked and wanted their bigger boat with the windshield. He dropped her at the dock and went for quick rip, said he scared himself and needed some more seat time before trying to see how fast it runs. Sounds like it accelerates pretty hard. Will update once I get a chance to run beside it. :biggrin.:
