I think 25,000.00 is a little on the high side considering how much work this boat needs to run again.

The throttleman for that Fayva Cat in the video, Bob Idoni Came into our shop the day after that crash with his arm in a sling, two days later his arm was out of the sling but he was on crutches, He didn't know what on his body was hurt, because everything hurt. back when the offshore speed record was 99 mph that Lil fayva cat ran 126 mph, had it finished the race it would have been eligible to set a speed record (what it was built for) but it only made about 20 miles of that Harbor town race before it stuffed. It was one of the first cats with arneson drives, they worked so well on that boat that they took their other 38 cougar cat to lake x and made the first ever standoff box for the Merc drives to mock the arneson set up, some say at that point it was the fastest boat to cross the lake. Then Al Copeland built the 4 engine Popeyes cat, then the 8 Motor cat and so on.....Just some useless trivia for ya...But thats the boat that really started the speed thing in offshore boats.

Sonny Levi designed and had built some similar boats during that same period. I've lines plan and pictures in my copy of "Dhows to Deltas".
