i'm considering the purchase of a new 38zx wth 525's what top end speed should i reasonably expect? Thanks for any help.

You should see 82-84 MPH...38ZX is a great boat will crush some serious waves and a lot of room for overnighters...good luck....post some pics if ya make a deal on it...:propeller::propeller:

The 38ZX with 525s depending were you run Freshwater 78MPH and Saltwater 80-82 MPH they are a solid running boat, I own a 33ZX and love it, my wife loves the cabin. The 38ZX is bigger and much more room downstairs, Its the best of both worlds Hi Performance and Cruiser comforts. We sleep on ours over the weekends when we go away with the boat.

I was hoping for around 80 and that looks like what I should expect. The 38zx looks like a good compromise between go-fast and cruiser for the wife and family. Thanks for the input.
