Talk about lucky. Here is a news clip fresh off of the press of a pilot of an 8,000 hp speed boat that crashed and came apart at 145 mph (capable of 200mph) and walked away with barely a scratch.

Yeah, I don't get it. This stuff happens all the time in drag boat racing. Why this particular crash gets splashed all over the national news is a mystery to me. The capsule did what it was supposed to do. Big deal.
Don't get me wrong. I'm glad the guy's alright. But, why all the media?

What?! This stuff happens all the time?! Oh, the humanity! We better put a stop to this now, for their own good! Why, it's little more than legalized suicide! Quick- I call for a constitutional amendment banning this sort of behavior!

Seriously, I'm guessing this made the media the way it did because it was in a big market (LA or San Diego, I don't remember) and probably a local member of a big news agency was on-hand so he ran it on his local station and it looked spectacular so the network grabbed.
