My Great Aunt, 82, and Grandfather, 86, made the trek to Lake Cumberland for this weekend.

Of course, no weekend would be complete without a blast in the Donzi. They had a ball....

They look great for there age... glad they could enjoy it. It was terribly windy in Western Ky yesterday and today.... Yesterday boat was ok...20mph wind.... today it would have been impossible here (50-60 mph wind)!!!

RT That is great, It reminds of taking my Mom and Dad For a cruise and brings back fond memories. Mom always loved the Donzi lines and the rides that I would take them on and the ones with the Bridge club. I really miss them. Thanks for the memories.:)

Looks like all grins to me! Enjoy the times together as much as you can. I hope I'm blasting across the water if I hit 86 years old.

This thread made me think of Sunday the 14th..
Jason took the red 16 down, I took the 23 Grady..
Launched early-afternoon, went to Grider.
Of course, the remnants of Ike passed thru at the same time..

Wow...

Main lake was as rough as I'd ever seen it. As we went by the Beaver entrance, we had a kind of cross-chop that was reminiscent of Lake Erie around the islands...The wind was WSW so it blew out of Beaver Creek a little. Mixed-up 2-3 footers and Jason said he almost had a 4 board the Donzi on the port bow.
I'd say the wind was sustained 30-35 MPH blowing to 50-55 maybe 60..Crazy stuff...
Very cool to see your Aunty and Grandad enjoying the thrills..
