Well I filled up the hummer this morning. I purchased a badass igloo ice chest. I also bought 5 big gas cans and filled them up. We will be driving north 4 hours to hook up with my father in law who has a nice big generator. I am leaving now to buy a roof rack to stack chainsaws etc on for the trip back tomorrow....

The inside of my truck smells like chocolate Lab and gasoline......

Another update....

I received a txt message from JEFE. He got home and had some chimney damage, and lost a carport. Other that that his home made it OK.

I also heard from co-workers. Te Victory Marine building emerged unscathed. This means that Jeff H's 18 classic and my 22 Donzi have lived throught the storm.

Still no word on my house. I'm driving 4 hrs north from Dallas to Sweetwater tomorrow morning to get the generator. Monday morning EARLY I will head for the house.. The hummer will look like its heading into the wilderness with Ice chests, and jerry cans strapped all over the outside of it. I will post photos. I have wireless internet that I will test when I get there. I will be driving all over shooting photos...

I appriciate all the messages and best wishes from all of you....

I can be reached by txt message on my cell. 713-898-0605

Over and out...

Just stay safe, I have kind of gotten use to having you around. As a Honda technical specialist with my second specialty in generators " water and electricity don't mix" If you end up with a Honda and get gauged, or see it please let me know! We take a very dim view of it. Last time I heard Honda had 5 tractor trailers headed to Texas to help with more to be allocated.

Left Monday Morning at 5am and breezed all the way into Houston at 80-85 mph. Some DallASS radio station was saying not to go back because they were turning everyone away at Conroe. I had ONSTAR call the conroe PD and they had no idea what we were talking about....

I will be posting some photos of the hummer hurricane assault vehicle (I freaking luv this truck). I will also enclose photos of my house damage; trees and fences. I drove around and shot a few photos as well.

Amazingly enough I had power when I got home. 9/10's of everyone around me do not. We drove pas long lines wating for ice. There was no fuel to be had from about 130 miles out of Houston.

Here are some more photos from today from the Clear Lake Area.

Oh and Victory Marine will be open for business. No power though. We will be using generators, cell phones and wireless internet. Technology rocks!!

Some body has been looking out for you. I hope damage is minimal. Stay safe. Your house must be on a trunk line to a hospital or some thing.

I just got into Houston a little bit ago, kind of messy around Intercontinental and the NW side, but Katy is in decent shape and my customers plant didn't get touched. Talked to JEFE a little bit ago, I offered my amatuer red cross services to him, we're suppose to go out to dinner tomorrow, wanna join us Scot? If restaurants are closed I told JEFE I'll grab some steaks out here and bring them on over and we can use some of that blown over timber to make a bbq:yes:. talk about long lines at the gas stations too....good thing I am in a rental:wink:

Here are some photos taken from my Friend Johns House. he lives on the lake and had 4-5 feet of water in the house. Amazingly his big sportfisherman behind the house sustained minimal damage.
